Puzzle specialist secures fresh agreement with WBCP for hit brand.
Puzzle company Jumbo Games has inked a new licence with Warner Bros Consumer Products to produce Harry Potter puzzles and brainteaser games.
The new range will be launched this summer to coincide with the cinema release of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
"Jumbo Games is incredibly excited to be part of the licensing programme for Harry Potter," said Gray Richmond, MD of Jumbo. "The depth of content is outstanding and the imagery really lends itself to the puzzle category. Harry Potter fans of all ages will want to collect our puzzles which will be available in a range of piece counts appealing to children and adults alike."
I would really like to see more Harry Potter merchandise produced for adults - especially items that are marketed for the serious adult fans who have a thorough knowledge of the series. Puzzles that are more difficult and themes that address the more profound social issues found in the series would also be a welcome change. And now that all seven books have been released, a challenging trivia game (meaning "hard" for the casual reader) would be a great family activity - all of the "obsessed" HP fans in my extended family are over the age of 30!
