RDF Digital takes Waybuloo onto the web

Company commissioned by BBC to build online presence to accompany eagerly awaited TV series.

RDF Digital is creating a dedicated site for the eagerly awaited new pre-school show Waybuloo.

The site will be accessed from the Cbeebies page on bbc.co.uk from later in May to tie in with the show's first broadcast.

Visitors to the site will be able to interact with the Waybuloo Piplings, explore the world and play games in the same vein as the children who feature in the TV series.

This marks the first time that RDF Digital has been commissioned to deliver the online elements of a kids' TV series for the BBC. Interactive agency Preloaded is working with the company on the project.

"The site that we're building for Waybuloo will allow fans of the series to interact directly with the characters outside of the linear transmissions and we're confident that we're building an environment that looks and feels as unique as the television show," said Charlie Campbell, head of children's at RDF Digital.
