13-year company veteran now executive vice president, office of the chief executive.
Marvel Entertainment has promoted Alan Fine to the Office of the Chief Executive, where he will take on the role of executive VP.
Fine, who has been with Marvel since 1996, joins David Maisel and John Turitzin in the position.
Over his long tenure with the company, Fine has been instrumental in Marvel's growth from a toy and publishing firm into a globally recognised entertainment and licensing company. The appointment reflects Fine's increased role in working across Marvel's publishing, licensing, studio and digital division to integrate activities and oversee brand building programmes throughout the company.
His increased role will also take in the planning and development of Marvel's animation and movie projects.
Fine was previously executive VP and chief marketing officer of Marvel Characters, a wholly owned subsidiary of Marvel Entertainment.
