First ever Wii game featuring Hit character to launch through Mastertronic.
Hit Entertainment has struck a deal with video games firm Mastertronic to launch the first ever Bob the Builder title on Nintendo's Wii system.
Bob the Builder: Festival of Fun has been designed to encourage interactive play between a parent and their child.
Designed by Blast Entertainment, the game features a parental play mode, so both parent and child can play the themed games together. The story is based around a festival in Sunflower Valley, where Bob and his Can-do Crew enlist young gamers to help clear the area and build the stage.
The game features challenges which are simple enough for pre-schoolers to play on their own, as well as with parents or carers.
"We are excited to be working with Blast/Mastertronic on our first Wii game," said Martin Adams, senior director of home entertainment UK & EMEA. "Gaming presents an important growth market for our business, offering opportunities to extend the brand into a new sector of the licensing industry and reaching Bob the Builder fans in a new and interactive way."
Kirsty Payne, marketing manager at Mastertronic, added: "Bob the Builder: Festival of Fun is a fun and colourful gaming experience for children and parents that reflects the spirit of the TV series and incorporates a great balance of fun and learning, with all their favourite characters, engaging tasks and diverse challenges."
