With the tournament proper due to kick off next month, video games firm Codemasters to readying Ashes Cricket 2009, revealing a host of tie ups with big name cricket stars.

Kevin Pietersen will be the game's cover star, joining Ricky Ponting - who will be featured on the pack art in his home country of Australia - Shane Warne and Sir Ian Botham in playing a prominent role in the title.

Ashes Cricket 2009 will feature fully licensed players, kit, stadia and equipment. It will be released on Sony's PlayStation 3, Microsoft's Xbox 360, PC and Nintendo's Wii system.

Botham and Warne will feature in a special Legends Mode, talking players through the basics, progressing to more advanced techniques before setting player challenges based on classic moments from the history of cricket.
