Scholastic gets Spooky again with Fun Crew

Firm to publish second Spooky Skaters book, as brand owner readies for BLE.

Fun Crew has revealed that its second Spooky Skaters book will be published by Scholastic.

The Graffiti Ghost sees the five stars having to use their supernatural skate skills to help vindicate a wrongly accused group of skate kids of vandalism.

The Spooky Skater property is represented worldwide by a team of agents: Kirsty Guthrie in the UK and Europe, Art Ask Agency in Spain and Portugal and G Squared in the US and rest of the world.

"We love working with Scholastic," said Fun Crew directors Angela Salt and Stuart Harrison. "They really get Spooky Skaters and its appeal to a worldwide audience of boys. We think it's great that Spooky Skaters is motivating this audience around the globe to read.

"The humour and the slightly anarchic and essential cool feel are key factors and we know from our experience running cartoon workshops for the target market, that our Spooky Skaters comic strips and cartoon characters are very popular."

Fun Crew will be returning to Olympia later this month for Brand Licensing Europe, too.
