The kids’ entertainment service has exceeded three million video on demand orders in May and June 2009.
The figures, according to data compiled by Rentrak mark a new high for the two year-old network, which offers animated and live-action kids’ series entertainment.
As of July 1st, Kabillion also moved up to become the sixth-highest rated channel overall among children’s VOD channels on the Comcast, Charter, Bresnan & Blue Ridge cable systems.
Geared toward children between the ages of six and 11, Kabillion On Demand is currently available to 20 million VOD-enabled digital cable television subscribers, comprising 90 per cent of the top 25 TV markets.
Kabillion, which launched in January 2007, offers high-quality animated and live-action kids’ series entertainment, games, music and chat and is available both as a free VOD channel and a free online broadband site (www.Kabillion.com).
Ad-supported and completely free to its users, Kabillion also boasts a fully-vetted COPPA and CARU-compliant environment, offering parents peace of mind.
Bill Schultz, CEO of Kabillion said: “Since our debut more than two years ago, Kabillion’s trajectory has continued to go up. Consistently reaching the threshold of three million monthly downloads is a great milestone for a start-up venture like ours, which does not have the benefit of being a spinoff from a major linear network.
“We’ve grown this channel in spite of tough economic times and a very cluttered kids’ landscape, through creativity and sheer determination.”
