Los Angeles-based Lawless Entertainment has struck a multi-year licensing and merchandising deal between US art brand creator Suzy's Zoo Studios and DCD Media.

DCD Media is one of the UK's leading independent production and distribution groups, recently adding licensing arm DCD Publishing to its roster.

The deal will cover several categories in the UK and Ireland including publishing and social expressions.

"We are delighted by this new association, especially as we have been looking for a pre-school property for a while, and Suzy's Zoo fits the bill perfectly," said Adrian Sington, CEO of DCD Publishing.

Suzy's Zoo Studios - which is based in San Diego - is behind such brands as Adventures in Duckport, Little Suzy's Zoo and Wags and Whiskers. The brand is also currently enjoying success in Japan, as well as its home territory of the US.
