Firm to show two new offerings at Mipcom, including Genie in the House spin off.
Independent producer Moi j'aime la television (MJTV) is heading to Mipcom with two new shows: a spin off from Genie in the House and Big Family, a new co-production with French firm Big Nose.
Big Family is a half hour comedy series which follows the exploits of 29 year-old Mary, who accepts the challenge of becoming a foster parent to 15 kids. Production on the 26 episodes will begin in 2010.
Meanwhile, the spin off of Genie in the House has been commissioned by Canal J. Based on the long running show, the project will be a live action series with new characters, but the same comedy and special effects.
As yet untitled, it will begin shooting in 2010, with MJTV and Helion speaking to potential partners and broadcasters about the project in Cannes.
