Coronation Street racks up the licensees

15 partners added to drive, with product due to roll out from the autumn.

ITV Studios Global Entertainment has revealed 15 licensees for Coronation Street in categories spanning family games, apparel and gifting.

A new collection of themed gaming will include a limited edition Monopoly board game and Top Trumps playing cards from Winning Moves; a Coronation Street themed board game from 1745 Trading; a PC game from Avanquest; an audio quiz from Ginger Fox; a limited edition themed Wasgij puzzle from Jumbo; and a limited edition Happy Families and Race to the Rovers playing cards from Tigerprint, exclusively for Marks & Spencer.

Meanwhile, images of the show's most glamorous and cult characters will be launched in a series of apparel products, including vintage fashion t-shirts from Blackstone Design, theme dress-up from Rubie's and slippers from Silent Night Footwear.

Danilo will be producing a Girls of Coronation Street 2010 calendar; Spilt Ink will have personalised greeting cards and posters; Paper Cellar has craft and scrap book gift stationery; themed auto accessories will come from Mountney; while special edition gift ranges for men and women are planned by both EB Brands and Wow Stuff.

"Coronation Street is the UK's most consistent and best rating television drama, an incredibly powerful and exciting proposition for consumer product ideas," commented Aysha Kidwai, director of worldwide merchandising and licensing at ITV Studios Global Entertainment. "I am delighted to be welcoming our new family of licensees on board."

Coronation Street will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2010, backed by a multimedia, merchandising, licensing and promotions blitz.
