Lionsgate takes on Bratz

Indie studio Lionsgate is expected to announce it will become the sole US distributor of the Bratz DVD catalogue.
The deal with MGA Entertainment includes five DVD titles previously distributed domestically by 20th Century Fox.
The studio will also distribute two new Bratz animated DVD titles next year in the US, UK and Canada. The arrange will begin in February with Bratz Kidz Fairy Tales.
Lionsgate and MGA partnered last year for Bratz: The Movie, the first live-action feature film based on the brand of fashion dolls.
During the past two years, more than 4 million Bratz DVDs have been shipped to retailers, in addition to 500,000 CDs.
