Gerber Childrenswear partners with Jockey

New branded underwear and sleepwear due to arrive in the US following latest deal.
US 'comfort apparel' manufacturer Jockey International is to work with Gerber Childrenswear on designing, producing and distributing a line of branded underwear, sleepwear and thermalwear for infants, toddlers and children.
Gerber, which is a division of Kellwood Company, will distribute the products in the US and Canada.
"This is an excellent opportunity for Jockey to work with an established expert in the children's apparel industry that can grow Jockey children's apparel business and introduce new categories," said Milou Gwyn, Jockey's VP of domestic licensing.
"This initiative also enables Jockey to dedicate more resources to our core business of adult apparel."
Gary Simmons, president and CEO of Gerber Childrenswear, added: "By blending Jockey's strength in brand awareness and customer loyalty with our expertise in the childrenswear market, we will be able to design products that will meet and exceed the expectations of the consumer and retailers.
