Danawares acquires interest in Primemotion

Distributor buys 50 per cent of lenticular licensed product designer and supplier.
Best known for manufacturing and distributing a wide range of licensed puzzles, toys and home decor, Danawares has purchased a 50 per cent interest in Primemotion, a designer of lenticular licensed products.
Danaware has been in the licensing industry for over 20 years and is well established in the Canadian market, although it had been looking to add to its portfolio.
"It was a natural fit," said Peter Lewis, Danawares president. "Primemotion has great product lines and we have the infrastructure, experience and relationships in place to fully support them."
Primemotion's puzzles and wall art are created using lenticular technology which is a high resolution imaging process that creates visual effect such as 3Dimensionality, multiple changing graphics and animation.
As a licensee of Disney and Nickelodeon, Primemotion holds the rights in Canada for the likes of Disney's Princess and Dora the Explorer.
