3D animation showing at shopping centres seven days a week; licensing opps available.
Rocket Enterprises is hoping that a seven-day a week stint at major shopping centres Westfield in London and Sheffield's Meadowhall will lead to various licensing opportunities for its new property.
3D animation, Rocket the Reindeer, is playing throughout the day at both venues.
The story is based in Rocketland and is about a reindeer that has lost one of his antlers and so is unable to fly with Santa on Christmas Eve (he can only go round in circles until the antler grows back).
The tale has been written by Oliver Caporn and co-produced by Melanie Hurley and Tony Nottage. A sequel is already being planned for 2010.
Branding opportunities will follow, with plans being discussed for a costume character, as well as moves into the publishing, apparel and stationery sectors, plus a short film for TV.
