Classic Chemistry set nominated in Specialty Toy category at the Toy of the Year Awards.
Following in the footsteps of Interplay's range of Dangerous Book for Boys science kits, Thames and Kosmos Classic Chemistry set has been nominated in the Specialty Toy of the Year category at the tenth Toy of the Year Awards.
Aimed at boys aged eight and above, the set includes more than 30 hands-on experiments and a 32-page manual (which includes a brief history of chemistry).
Already a hit in the US, Thames and Kosmos will be unveiling the set to European buyers at Nuremberg Toy Fair in February 2010.
"Recognition by the leading lights of the industry for this fine product also underlines the power of the Dangerous Book for Boys brand, and the success of the licensing programme in focusing on the brand's core values and strengths," said Charlie Day, president of The Sharpe Company, Rocket's sub agent for the brand in the US.
