Indian mobile firm Micromax Informatics is teaming up with MTV to launch a line of co-branded mobile phones.

The first handset to hit the market will be the Micromax MTV X360, which will be India's first complete music phone. It comes with a number of features including 8GB expandable memory, dual SIM, GPRS, multi-format music support and Bluetooth.

The handset also comes embedded with unique MTV content featuring videos, ringtones and wallpapers from a number of shows.

"Mobile phones are an extension of today's youth and it was only a matter of time before MTV entered this category," said Sandeep Dahiya, VP of consumer products and communications at Viacom 18. "This partnership between MTV and Micromax is a potent combination that merges Micromax's expertise in product design, production and distribution with MTV's strengths in creativity, youth insights and marketing."
