RDF Rights has appointed Mark Watson has its new director of consumer products for its Kids & Family division.

He takes up the role this month, with current director of consumer products, Rachel Barke, heading off on maternity leave.

Watson joins RDF with over 20 years of UK and international consumer products experience. He has previously been UK licensing director at 20th Century Fox and sales and licensing director at Character UK. Most recently he worked with Bespoke Marketing in a licensing consultancy role.

"I am very much looking forward to joining RDF Rights and being part of its future success," said Watson. "It is an exciting time with lots of amazing properties, especially Waybuloo which launched so successfully at retail in the second half of 2009."
