TOY FAIR 2010: Martin Yaffe scoops Zigby

Pre-school property gets a new master toy partner; product due in the autumn.

DRi Licensing has sealed a deal with Martin Yaffe for its pre-school brand Zigby.

The new master toy licensee will be launching a line of plush, beanies, single articulated figures with accessories, a ride-on, musical TV, bath toy and play-sets in the autumn.

"This is another exciting step forward for the Zigby property and we are delighted to be working with Martin Yaffe on the production of what looks set to be a beautiful, colourful and appealing range of toys," said Alicia Davenport, licensing director at DRi.

Ronnie Yaffe, MD of the toy firm, added: "I am thrilled to have been appointed master toy licensee for Zigby; it is the perfect addition to our stable of much-loved children's character licences. The launch range will be available autumn/winter 2010, with a full complement of products in store by 2011."

Zigby premiered on Cbeebies in October and has been enjoying solid ratings.
