Bright Group International signs new representation deal for the child safety brand.
Aimed at three to seven year-olds, Hari is a young elephant, who stars in a series of books that encourage children to be safe in everything they do.
Each book focuses on a single safety field. A limited initial print run has seen the books become a hit through Waterstone’s stores and a UK wide Schools Outreach Programme.
BGI has now come on board to take the series to the next level with a major publisher, as well as exploring the brand’s potential in the field of licensing.
The brand is the brainchild of father and son team Tristan-Paul and Tristan-Sean McGee, both safety experts.
Tristan-Sean McGee explained: “Just under a million children a year have to go to hospital after being injured in the home and along the road alone and that is a figure that we really want to bring down.
"Hari is all about teaching children how to stay safe whilst enjoying the freedoms of life.”
BGI MD Vicki Willden-Lebrecht added: “Hari is great fun for kids while parents love the safety aspect of the books so it’s understandably popular."
“We are very excited about developing Hari’s World as a brand and are already in talks with a number of top publishers and licensees.”
