The latest gift book in DRi Licensing's The Interesting Thoughts of Edward Monkton line reached number two in The Sunday Times bestseller list last weekend.

Love Monkey is a tale about the 'quest for true and enduring love and happiness', with the property also doing well in other licensed areas.

A number of products were launched at Spring Fair earlier this month, while a partnership with Rainbow Designs for novelty gifts and stationery was also confirmed.

The extensive range is likely to include a number of quirky gifts and accessories, plus a line of social and back to school stationery. Rainbow will also be launching a Love Monkey gift range for Valentine's Day 2011.

"This innovative property's potential knows no limits and we are delighted that Love Monkey has achieved such a high position on The Sunday Times bestseller list," said Alicia Davenport, licensing director at DRi.
