JOB OF THE WEEK: Chapman Entertainment

Firm is looking to recruit a brand manager, based at its London offices.

Formed in 2002, Chapman Entertainment specialises in the creation, production and licensing of children’s entertainment properties.

The first two properties developed by Chapman, Fifi and the Flowertots and Roary the Racing Car, have become global brand successes.

The firm employs 25 people in the London office and a further 20 people are based at the Chapman Studios in Manchester. 
 


Chapman is seeking a high calibre brand manager to join the marketing department in the London office. Reporting to the director of marketing, the brand manager will have a wide remit and significant responsibilities.

Responsibilities include:

Advertisement

-Brand Guardian for assigned brands; key point of contact and day to day brand management of all marketing initiatives for the brands.  

- Implementation of brand strategy across assigned brands.

- Budget management of campaigns.

- Approval of all marketing materials for own brands.
 
- With the support of the marketing director, manage retail relationships. Present brand updates to retailers and drive initiatives that enhance support and engagement of our brands at retail.

- Oversee all live event activities across all brands. Supported by the marketing assistant, build and manage the relationships with third party attractions, selling and implementing the live event experiences.

- Responsible for all trade communications for own brands; trade advertising and trade show support. 

- Internal reporting; manage internal licensing and broadcaster reports for the company.

- Style guide development for assigned brands.

- Management of external agencies; designers, printers, suppliers.
 
The ideal candidate will have strong brand management experience and a proven track record of working across multiple marketing functions.

The firm is looking for somebody with superb project management skills, who is a confident, natural presenter.

Ideally, applicants will be solid negotiators, first class copywriters and will be accepting of flexible working hours - some weekend work required.

Applicants should be proactive and keen to drive new ideas and opportunities and should be a fresh, creative thinker. The new recruit will ideally be from the licensing or retail industry and of graduate calibre marketer.
