Former MD of CPLG Sport to oversee all operational aspects of agency worldwide.
Entertainment and sports licensing agency CPLG has promoted Chris Protheroe to executive vice president.
Protheroe previously headed up the company's successful sports division. While he will continue to manage the sports business, he will now also oversee all operational aspects of CPLG worldwide. He will continue to be based in the London office.
"As CPLG continues its worldwide expansion, it's critical to have someone to handle the company's day to day and long-term operations," explained Katarina Dietrich, CEO of CPLG. "Chris has been instrumental in establishing and growing our sports division, and with his many years of licensing experience, we know that this will carry over into his new position."
Protheroe joined CPLG back in 1999 as head of sport, Europe, working on the company's worldwide licensing campaign for the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan and Euro 2000. He has also overseen campaigns for The FA and the Rugby Football Union, as well as managing the sponsorship programme for St Andrews Links.
