BBC Worldwide launches new website to accompany children's TV series.

New CGI animated kids' show Animalia now boasts its own website.

Based on the best selling book by Graeme Base, the show charts the adventures of human heroes Alex and Zoe as they are swept from their local library into Animalia, a world of speaking animals.

The website - www.animalia.tv - has been created by children's new media agency Complete Control and features a range of games and activities. These include the chance to play along on drums with G'Bubu and Iggy in their Rhythm Flow, memory skills with Emo and Elni's Menu Match and co-ordination techniques through Zoe's Core Sport Quest.

Clips of the show can also be viewed on the Animalian News Channel.

BBC Worldwide is the distributor and licensing agent of the property, which is aimed at four to seven year olds. Opportunities exist for a master toy licence, plus board games, computer games, action figures, plush, back to school and stationery.

In addition, a DVD - Animalia: Where Animals Rule - is due for release on March 3rd.
