New publishing push for Where's Wally revealed

Classic Media teaming with Walker Books to create first spin-offs for popular brand.

Classic Media has appointed the Walker Group to create a new global publishing programme for the Where's Wally? brand.

The first ever spin-off programme for Where's Wally? will feature new material, released across a variety of formats. It will be designed to complement the original Where's Wally? collection from Martin Handford.

"We are very proud to be the long-standing home of the Where's Wally? publishing phenomenon," said Helen McAleer, MD of Walker Books UK. "It's incredibly exciting to be working with Classic Media on the spin-off global publishing programme based on this popular character, and we look forward to creating a new range of formats and content to keep the millions of fans entertained around the world."

Nicole Blake, SVP of marketing and consumer products at Classic Media, added: "Walker has done an exceptional job as publisher of Where's Wally? since its debut in 1987."

The line will debut in 2012 to tie in with Wally's 25th birthday celebrations.
