Dex Hamilton gets the green light

New animation property to start production in Canada and Australia.
A new animated comedy adventure series about an inteprid young explorer has begun production, with Dex Hamilton: Alien Entomologist due for delivery in the autumn.
The show is a Canadian/Australian co-production between March Entertainment and SLR Productions. Parthenon Kids is also a co-production partner on the series and will be distributing it internationally.
Australian commercial broadcaster Ten Network has already pre-bought the series.
Aimed at six to 11 year olds, the show follows Dex, a young naturalist and scientist who is tasked with conquering a mysterious alien epidemic and preserving the ecosystem.
"The market for world class children's animated entertainment has evolved significantly over the last few years and today's kids demand more sophisticated product," said Regis Brown from Parthenon Kids. "Dex Hamilton is an intelligent multi-platform brand that will both entertain and excite today's voracious media-bouncing customer."
