Collection of novels and manuals rolling out throughout 2010 and 2011.
CBS Consumer Products is working with a number of key publishing partners to grow Star Trek's presence in the category this year and into 2011.
New titles will include paperback novel The Needs of Many (Pocket Books); hardcover release Star Trek 365 (Abrams Books), which includes commentary, behind the scenes histories and interviews with writers, cast and crew and synopses for each of the original series' 79 episodes; Star Trek: Starfleet Academy (Simon & Schuster), which will be available in paperback, hardcover and e-book; and Haynes Enterprise Manual (Haynes Publishing), which arrives in September.
"There are always more stories to be told in the Star Trek saga," said Liz Kalodner, executive VP and general manager at CBS Consumer Products. "Books have accompanied the Star Trek series since the very beginning in 1968, and these new Star Trek publishing projects will give fans and newcomers alike a new way to explore and indulge in their favourite universe."
