UK representative of brand applauds decision to open up a new London outfit.
The managing director of TLC's Entertainment division - which has represented LazyTown in the UK since its launch in 2006 - is confident that its new London-based office will enhance its licensing programme.
Lisa Shapiro (pictured) said that she "is looking forward to strengthening our relationship with LazyTown and making it the UK success that it deserves to be".
LazyTown revealed its plans for the London office last week. It will handle the firm's European brand and licensing business and is headed up by industry veteran Katie Foster.
It's already looking likely to be another busy year for LazyTown. In addition to broadcast commitments from Cbeebies and Nick Jr UK, the LazyTown Live Show will take place from the end of January until August in 44 venues across the country.
In addition, Sportacus has been chosen as the official supporter of Sport Relief 2008, which takes place from March 14th to 16th.
Plans for a LazyTown food programme will also be announced shortly.
