The series has been renewed for a second series of 15 episodes by PBS KIDS and CBC.
The new deal brings the total available shows to 80x22’. The pre-school programme airs on channels including: Nickelodeon UK and Australia and OKTO TV in Singapore; Korea’s EBS, KidsTalkTalk and Tooiverse; ATV in Hong Kong; Astro TVIQ for Malaysia and Indonesia, and Thailand’s True Visions.
Janice Walker at Decode Entertainment said: “PBS KIDS and CBC are the most trusted channels among parents and families and ideal platforms for Super Why.
"The second season commission underscores the widespread appeal of the popular – and highly-effective – literacy-powered series.”
Samantha Freeman, co-founder and CEO of Out of the Blue Enterprises and co-creator and executive producer of the show, added: “Kids seek fun and parents and broadcasters alike are always looking for strong preschool programming that balances entertainment with learning.
"Super Why covers both bases and has a proven track record on PBS KIDS in the US and channels throughout the world.”
