VEGAS 2010: Roy Lowe's fine time

Sock licensee raises over $2,000 for Light Fund with suit sweep stake and other activities.

They may have been depleted in number, but Roy Lowe & Sons were up to their usual antics in Las Vegas at Licensing International last week.

Martin Lowe and Richard Radford were running a sweep stake for members of the industry to guess the theme of this year's suits, with the winner being Tommy Schweiger from Character World, who donated the winnings back to the Light Fund (although we're not entirely sure that he was given much choice...)

Alex Bloom, commercial director at Spearmark, also played his part by donning a very 'special' outfit for Wednesday evening's Brit bash at the Piano Bar in the New York New York. Photographic evidence does exist, Alex...

Final totals were $2,233, £70, ten Swiss Francs, 20 Tunisian Dinar and 1,500 Yen.

"We would like to thank everyone who allowed us to twist their arms to generate our best ever total," said Martin Lowe. "A special thanks to Tommy from Character World for kindly putting the winnings back into the pot.

Congratulations to Martin & Radders - it is a great way of raising money for The Light Fund and is much appreciated - and well done to Tommy' The Greatest Dancer' Schweiger for putting the money back into the pot. Not the first time a winner has instantly lost their winnings in Las Vegas but well done Tommy !

Thank you for forwarding the article re. the two fellows in the sequine suits! As they walked past me, from the back I could tell that the suits must have been EXACTLY tailored to their bodies! All for a good cause!
Best Regards, Janet Kruskamp.......published by Bentley Publishing and Licensing group.
