This morning, Entertainment Rights warned the city that its results for 2007 would be slightly below the bottom end of market expectations, stating its key Christmas trading period had been worse than it expected.

Maybe its more ominous for the toy sector? It hasn't had a good year. Again.
Maybe it's because Basil Brush isn't so great? I think there's plenty of other success stories for the licensing sector to focus on.
When I was a kid I used to love Postman Pat, but kid's entertainment content is so much more imaginative nowadays. I think the reality is that the antics of a Postman simply aren't that interesting to a generation that loves colourful other-worldly characters, has DVD players in their rooms and an iPod in their pocket. Sad, arguably, but true I think.
