RDF's Waybuloo launches in the Middle East

New broadcast partner and licensing agent on board for territory.

Having launched on Baraem, the Al Jazeera-owned Arabic pre-school channel, in August, RDF has now picked up a licensing agent in the Middle East for Waybuloo.

Copyright Licensing Agency has been appointed to represent the merchandising rights for the pre-school property in the Middle East (excluding Israel). It will be focusing on securing licensing partners across all categories, excluding toys and publishing.

"We are delighted to be extending our licensing programme in the Middle East," said Angeles Blanco, head of international licensing at RDFR. "Copyright Licensing Agency will be working closely with RDFR to develop a long-term strategy for the licensing and retail programme, replicating the success Waybuloo has already enjoyed in the UK in the pre-school sector."

In addition, RDF Rights has recently secured two new UK licensees - MV Sports for wheeled toys and Mookie for playballs.
