The countdown to the MCV Awards 2010 has begun – with date, venue and categories announced.
Wii console placed seventh overall and wins category in annual brand analysis survey
The Nintendo Wii has been placed at number seven in the top 20 CoolBrands annual list for 2010/11.
The console beat off competition from the Xbox and Playstation brands to become the highest placed console in this year’s list.
The Wii also took the ‘Leisure & Entertainment – Games & Toys’ category in the category winners list. Nintendo and the Nintendo DS were also placed in the qualifying list.
Elsewhere both EA Games and EA Sports were placed in the top 500 qualifiers, along with Playstation, Rubik’s Cube, Xbox and Top Trumps.
