Zorro snaps up master toy licensee

BKN property to be turned into 12 toy skus for the second half of 2008.
BKN has awarded Gulliver the master toy licence for its Zorro Generation Z property.
As part of the agreement, Gulliver has been granted the right to produce a variety of products, including action figures, toy vehicles and accessories, toy weapons, Zorro's motorcycle, Zorro's laser, Scarlet Whip's car and Scarlet Whip's laser.
Gulliver will have distribution rights exclusively in Brazil, but manufacturing rights globally allowing BKN to appoint toy distributors throughout the world.
Toy distributors will be able to acquire product from Gulliver either FOB Hong Kong or FOB China for their local markets.
The company has committed to a minimum of 12 skus at launch for the second half of this year.
"The response to this property worldwide has been tremendous with broadcasters and manufacturers alike," said Laura Tapia, MD of BKN New Media. "We have signed numerous licensees and now with this master toy agreement, expect to truly expand the merchandising program."
