British actor named as narrator of new-look kids' show.
With The Mr Men Show due to air on February 25th at 7.30am on Five's Milkshake block, British actor Simon Callow has been unveiled as the series narrator.
Callow is currently starring in the production of Peter Shaffer's Equus at Chichester Festival Theatre until February 9th.
Speaking at a recording of The Mr Men Show, Callow said: "Narrating the Mr Men was highly entertaining.
The programmes are fun, but also full of wisdom. While making kids laugh, they teach them (and adults, too perhaps) that the world is full of wonderfully different kinds of people, and that there is such as thing as society which binds us all together. Great stuff."

There seems to be something of an emerging trend in getting well-spoken British actors to narrate pre-school series. See also Stephen Fry (Pocoyo) and Sir Derek Jacobi (In The Night Garden).
