Channel snaps up US broadcast rights to a selection of music videos for children.

Entertainment One and Eat Your Lunch have sealed a deal with Nicktoons, which has seen the channel acquire the US broadcast rights to a series of Bzots music videos for children.

Bzots follows the story of three industrial robots that have chosen to escape their repetitive lives as assembly line robots and follow their dreams of forming a band. The production features live action characters in an animated environment.

"Having been on the run all this time, Bzots are very happy to have found a home - actually 50 million homes - with Nicktoons Network," said creator Dave Skwarczek. "Bzots is our first major production and we're delighted by Nicktoons' recognition of our vision and effort."

Joan Lofts, director of Rubber Duck (a division of Entertainment One), added: "We fell in love with Bzots as soon as we saw it. Shows about bands and shows about robots have been done before, but Dave Skarczek and Eat Your Lunch have created something totally fresh with Bzots."
