The Sanrio Foundation has kicked off its tour of UK paediatric hospitals today (Thursday February 10th).

Following on from a successful fundraising event held in London in January, the tour has been organised in conjunction with Lollypop Radio, a local charity organisation which brings radio entertainment to children's hospitals.

Characters including Hello Kitty and Gormiti - donated by Giochi Preziosi - will visit over ten hospitals in the UK, where they will distribute gifts, pose for pictures and even organise birthday celebrations.

The images of Sanrio's characters are also given free to the hospitals to decorate children's rooms and spaces.
