Strong opening weekend gets Chapman and Premier show off to a good start; merchandise sales benefit.
The first stage show for Chapman Entertainment's Roary the Racing Car has got off to a strong start - with the opening weekend seeing sell out audiences across the performances.
Champion of Champions - produced by Premier Stage Productions - kicked off its run at the Epson Playhouse, with over 1,000 fans packing in to see the performance.
The live theatre show also stars Sir Stirling Moss as the narrator, Murray Walker as race commentator and Peter Kay as the voice of Big Chris.
"We are delighted with the opening weekend response to Roary Live from both parents and children alike," said Nick George, co-founder of Premier Stage Productions. "Merchandise sales were very strong and with the tour continuing in over 90 venues until November, we are confident of a Champion year."
Nikki Grass, director of marketing at Chapman, added: "The premium quality sets, racing sequences and character costumes have created much anticipation and hype, and with sell out crowds and tremendous feedback, it is obvious that the show didn't disappoint."
