Homewares licensee Character World has seen 16 of its employees complete NVQs in a number of fields.

Qualifications were achieved in subjects including business and administration, management and customer service. One employee also completed a modern apprenticeship.

All departments - including sales, design and supply chain - took part.

"I'm extremely proud of the commitment and effort shown by all staff at Character World," said David Marshall, head of HR at the licensee. "Gaining these qualifications whilst still doing your day job is a fantastic achievement. We're committed to investing in our employees to ensure everyone reaches their full potential and develops their careers.

"There will be more employees taking NVQs in the next year and we're always looking at other ways to ensure everyone continues to develop."
