Bradford Licensing Associates expand programme for Marilyn Monroe in the territory with new deals.
Leading Italian licensing agency, Professional Licensing Group has signed a two-year agreement with BLA to represent the Marilyn Monroe by Sam Shaw programme throughout the territory.
PLG will focus on expanding the brand in a number of different categories, and it has already started working on products such as fine jewellery, watches, beachwear and sunglasses. It has just finalised a deal with Italian Fashion for high-end leather goods like wallets, bags and suitcases. Apparel, footwear and underwear have also been earmarked by PLG as areas for growth.
“The chance to work on such a global icon as Marilyn Monroe excited the entire PLG team because it is such a great opportunity to develop new collections for the most famous diva ever,” said creative director Attilio Mazzilli.
Meanwhile, on top of this, BLA has signed up two new licensees, with the help of BIC. Accademia will focus on gift items – such as alarm clocks, lamps, magnets and storage boxes – as well as kitchen accessories, showcasing some of the 500+ images of Monroe from the Shaw Family archives.
Art Serigraphik will produce home décor items, such as decorative mirrors.
