Chapman Entertainment will unveil its new pre-school show - Raa Raa the Noisy Lion - on Cbeebies on Monday May 9th, with popular TV presenter Lorraine Kelly taking on the role of narrator.

The show - which is about a noisy lion cub who is just finding his voice, and also features Huffty the elephant, Topsy the giraffe, Crocky the crocodile, Zebby the zebra and Ooo Ooo the monkey - aims to help youngsters with communication skills, including sounds, gestures and facial expressions as well as words.

Raa Raa the Noisy Lion is being produced by Chapman and Mackinnon & Saunders. It was created by Curtis Jobling, who designed Bob the Builder.

"I'm very excited to be involved with this adorable new show," Kelly (pictured) said. "I love the idea of making learning fun for kids, and as 2011 is the National Year of Communication, this series is more relevant than ever."
