Entertainment brand Nickelodeon yesterday took the wraps off a new Slime product line at the US Toy Fair, while also revealing some new deals for its evergreen properties.
Created by Jakks Pacific, the Slime line allows kids to copy the TV and slime their friends, family and loved ones. Sliming was introduced by Nickelodeon in 1982, and 'getting slimed' has since become something of a badge of honour for kids and celebrities worldwide.
The Jakks line includes Slime Super Slimer Blaster, Slime Time Splatter, Slime Ball, Slime Can containers and Slime Bucket containers.
Meanwhile, new Dora the Explorer products are being lined up in electronic learning, role play, dress up, dolls and accessories, mini playsets, environmental, basics and real musical instruments. Dora is the number one toy licence for girls in the US (according to NPD Group data) and has also been the number of licence across all categories for the last two years in France.
Go Diego Go will also see basic play items and environmentally themed items launch at Toy Fair, along with a new line of musical instruments from First Act.
Animated pre-school music series, The Wonder Pets is making its Toy Fair debut, with Fisher-Price showing This Is Serious Ming Ming.
Meanwhile, Play Along is launching a new Spongebob Squarepants line this autumn, while Hasbro and First Act will be working on The Naked Brothers Band items.
