Granada Ventures man joins new commercial arm of Picture Production Company.
The Picture Production Company has unveiled a new commercial venture which will aim to develop and exploit in-house and third party properties off the screen.
PPC Enterprises has kicked off with the appointment of Mark Hurry as legal and commercial director. Hurry will spearhead the development and exploitation of the firm's brands, extending them into merchandising, home entertainment and new media deals.
He joins from Granada Ventures where he was commercial director.
He was responsible for acquiring the merchandising rights for Little Britain and negotiated deals totalling more than £28.6 million at retail.
"Mark's proven track record and high level of expertise in the licensing industry make him the right person to establish PPC Enterprises in the rights exploitation space," said Steve O'Pray, CEO of PPC.
