Canada’s Jim Pattison Group has bought the authority brand on world record achievements for an undisclosed sum.
The Jim Pattison Group, the firm behind Ripley’s Believe It or Not museums, has owned the global rights to develop and operate Guinness World Records museums and attractions for over a decade.
Jim Pattison Jr, president of Ripley Entertainment, a unit of the Jim Pattison Group, said: “The coming together of Guinness World Records and Ripley's Believe It or Not! creates an historic combination of the world-leading authorities on records and record-breaking, and all that is unbelievable.”
Hit bought Guinness World Records, previously known as the Guinness Book of Records, in 2002.
