BBC Magazines strikes deals with Goody Consultoria to launch the title in Portugal.
The monthly magazine launched in Portugal today (June 30th) under the editorship of Paulo Passarinho.
The magazine launched with a 35,000 copy circulation and around 35 per cent of the content was produced locally, with the rest taken from the UK edition of the title.
Passarinho commented: “We are very excited to be launching Top Gear in Portugal.
"We strive to publish unique and exclusive magazines and Top Gear has precisely that kind of singularity that makes magazines a different and successful medium.”
Joanna Marshall, head of international licensing and syndication at BBC Magazines, added: "Top Gear Magazine offers unique content and a strong positioning in the automotive market.
"We are very excited to work with Goody Consultoria SA in the Portuguese market.”
