Show organiser Emap TPS confident for next year's event after solid performance in 2008.
Emap TPS says 70 per cent of exhibitors from this year’s Spring Fair have rebooked, signalling a vote of confidence for the event despite tough economic conditions for retailers and suppliers.
Alison Jackson, the firm’s managing director, said visitors welcomed the investment into the show’s presentation, which included the addition of the Future Trends Stage.
Jackson also said exhibitors reported better than expected orders and some year-on-year increases.
This year represents the first time exhibitors could re-book their participation on-site.
Jackson said: “We are delighted that exhibitors have given a clear vote of confidence in Spring Fair with the 2009 event already more than 70 per cent re booked.
“This gives us a whole year to attract new business, plan our continued investment in marketing and the look and feel of the show, as well as our digital offering, to ensure that Spring Fair is one of the top trade show in Europe.”
Spring Fair 2009 will take place from February 1st to 5th, 2009.
Other Emap TPS events coming up include Summer Fair from June 22nd to 25th, 2008 and Autumn Fair, which runs from September 7th to 10th, 2008.
