Biplano has seen its team grow to 42 people, having opened up a new Paris office and incorporating RMP into its company.

The move will further strengthen Biplano's presence in Southern Europe. Its portfolio in Paris now includes King Features, Mercis, MGA, Artestar and the Happets.

"We are very happy with this acquisition," said Jordi Rey, general manager of Biplano. "We will now be in a position to deliver in France the same kind of licensing services as we already do in Spain and Portugal. I am also specially happy because our relationship with Pierre Gaucher is a very long one and this is a good way for both to move ahead."

As well as Paris, Biplano also has offices in Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon and Shenzhen.
