DQE has signed a licensing and distribution deal with SMC Entertainment for season one of The Jungle Book in North America.
Under the deal, SMC - which is a division of Sun-Mate - has been granted the TV, home video and licensing and merchandising rights for the series for an initial five-year term.
SMC believes it will earn $50 million during the term.
"The quality and execution of DQE's The Jungle Book is brilliant," said Rami Ben-Moshe, president of Sun-Mate. "We are grateful to have the opportunity to partner with a company that has such vision and talent. We believe that The Jungle Book will far exceed all our expectations."
