Horrible deal for Copyrights

Firm appointed as licensing agents for Horrible Science.
The Copyrights Group has been hired as the licensing agent for Horrible Science, the best selling line of children's science books published by Scholastic.
First published in 1996, the series of books has sold over ten million copies worldwide and is translated into 24 languages. The books have sold four million copies in the UK alone, making author Nick Arnold Britain's best selling children's science writer.
In total, 34 Horrible Science titles are now available.
"We are delighted that Scholastic has chosen Copyrights to develop the licensing programme for Horrible Science," offered Nicholas Durbridge, co-founder and CEO of Copyrights. "We have worked successfully with Scholastic over the past two years launching the Horrible Histories brand to licensees and retail partners and look forward to generating further interest with Horrible Science."
Lisa Edwards, editorial director for non fiction and licensed properties at Scholastic, added: "It makes absolute sense for Copyrights to add this great children's property to their portfolio of book-based brands.
"They have generated some great deals for the Horrible Histories brand and Horrible Science is the perfect partner property."
A website for the property has been launched this week.
