The countdown to the MCV Awards 2010 has begun – with date, venue and categories announced.
Former Penguin Children's exec to take on newly created role from November 28th.
Simon & Schuster UK has bolstered its team with the appointment of Meg Wang.
From November 28th, Wang will take on the newly created position of editorial director for licensed properties.
Wang - who is currently media and entertainment editorial director at Penguin Children's Books - will head up the firm's expanding licensed character list.
This includes The Octonauts, which is launching a programme of TV tie-ins, plus next year's release of Mike the Knight.
She will also oversee the Nickelodeon portfolio and The Smurfs, and will be responsible for digital developments as well as books.
