Range of pre-school offerings from channel to launch on country's free-to-air network.

A number of Disney's hit pre-school shows are due to make their debut on Korea's Educational Broadcasting System.

Among the Playhouse Disney series which will air on the terrestrial channel will be My Friends Tigger & Pooh, Little Einsteins and Handy Manny, according to World Screen.

"We are pleased to be expanding the reach of Disney content in Korea, a key strategic market for the company, with these highly successful pre-school series," said Hyesuk Lim, senior VP and MD of The Walt Disney Company Korea.

"This announcement reflects Disney's continued commitment to bringing high quality and compelling content that kids and families everywhere can enjoy."

Sang-ho Park, director general of EBS, added: "This package deal will create new value between EBS and Disney. These three series are programs that fulfil the high educational standards that EBS have been keeping."
